The Jersey Customs and Immigration Service protects the island through the control of our borders and all that passes through them. This can range from the collection of taxes on imported and exported produce and goods to working to stop illegal immigration, drug trafficking and seizing assets.

As an operational service working with the general public, you will see the impact of your work everyday and with immigration as a central function, you can be making decisions that affect individuals’ lives. 

With such a diverse role, you will be constantly learning in order to develop skills required to cover the variety of work. From working at the harbours around the island, to the airport or the Post Office, no two days are ever the same.
